Colleagues from GRUSE in Germany are visiting SIGI’s factory in Ängelholm, Sweden, this week to compare ways of working and explore where the two factories can learn from each other.

The focus is practical: how production is planned, how materials move through the factory, how quality is maintained, and how operators develop their skills. Maintenance and continuous improvement are also part of the discussions.

The exchange goes both ways. As the teams walk through production together, they are comparing what works well at each site and where an approach used in one factory could be useful in the other.

“If GRUSE does something better, we should learn from it. And if we have something that works well in Ängelholm, we should share it,” says Micke Lahti, Factory Manager in Ängelholm.

Both factories have extensive production experience and face many similar challenges. The ambition is to identify a few concrete areas for closer cooperation or shared ways of working, including production methods, planning, material flow, and skills development.

Taking part from GRUSE are Jose Herguijuela, Production Manager; Jan Borchers, Purchasing Manager; Valdemar Hein and Thomas Groß, Production Supervisors; and Detlev Dörnbrack, Sales Team Leader DACH.

The goal is to move from understanding how each factory works to finding what they can do better together.
