At SIGI Europe, innovation meets simplicity with PowerPack — a project that’s transforming how we design, produce, and deliver hydraulic power units. By reducing our standard modules from 11 to just 6, we’ve created a more efficient and reliable system that delivers real benefits for our customers.
“With PowerPack, we’re not just reducing complexity—we’re building a smarter, more dependable platform,” says Alexander Stensson, Purchasing Manager at SIGI Europe. “It allows us to respond faster, maintain consistent quality, and ensure smooth, on-time deliveries.”
Before PowerPack, our range of power units covered overlapping applications, leading to unnecessary complexity in procurement and production. Standardizing to six models changes that.
“We’re now able to streamline sourcing, assembly, and support,” says Niklas Persson, Business Engineering Manager. “Fewer variants mean better consistency—and easier access to spare parts when needed.”
This shift also improves quality control, increases component availability, and reduces lead times. Customers benefit from faster deliveries and greater long-term reliability.
A key to the PowerPack success story is the close partnership with our local supplier. With production sites located nearby, SIGI Europe has reduced transport needs and increased logistical efficiency.
“Coordinated deliveries and optimized planning reduce inventory levels and make our supply chain more sustainable,” says Stensson.
With fewer model variants, aftersales support is also faster and more precise. As Aftersales Engineer Martin Eliasson puts it: “Less variation means quicker solutions.”
What’s Next?
PowerPack is being rolled out in stages throughout the year:
- Q1: Launch of the first modules, along with internal training across production, engineering, and aftersales.
- Q2–Q3: More modules added, fine-tuning from early runs, and updated pricing.
- Q4: Final adjustments, new accessories, and optimized stock levels.
SIGI Europe continues to evolve the PowerPack system, with a focus on smarter standardization and long-term reliability.
